There is always some amount of uncertainty surrounding the project until this stage is complete. While getting started has its own share of excitement, there is no way to predict with 100% certainty what the underground conditions are. However, once the foundation/slab is complete, the majority of unforeseen surprises have been mitigated. Stage 1 includes the following basic components and sets the groundwork for a well built home.
Stage 2 takes your vision from a 2D drawing to a 3D reality. Your home will be framed, windows and doors will be set, decks & porches will be built, and roofing will be completed. Framing can take anywhere from several weeks for a small house to several months for a larger one.
Stage 3 brings a sense of heartbeat into the home. All mechanical services are installed and prepared for the final trim out.
Before stage 4’s completion, you could see from one side of your home to the other. Now, the interior is completely defined. Walking from room to room will allow you to really get a feel for the space. It is at this point where your interior spaces really start to feel like a home. At this point, all insulation and soundproofing is installed, the sheetrock is hung, taped, floated, and prepped for paint.
Stage 5 brings your vision to life. All remaining details are in the final stage of completion, including all interior paint, floor coverings, interior trims, home appliances, and kitchen details. The home exterior will be painted and all remaining site work, including a finished driveway and landscaping, will be finalized. All home systems will be inspected and tested for functionality by the local government inspection agency. Upon a satisfactory inspection, the home will receive a final county inspection and a certificate of occupancy will be issued.
